The ALMA antennas will
be located in the plateau northwest of Cerro Chajnator Chile about 40km east
of the village of San Pedro de Atacama. Environmental circumstances measured
on this plateau in the South-American state of Chili indicated that this
site is just perfect for observations at millimeter and sub-milimeter
